Article Breakdown
Why does Google meet provide suggestions?
Prior to discussing the solutions we’ll briefly cover how these recommendations come into being to begin with.
1. Autofill and Browser History
If you’ve ever entered an email address or meeting link in the past your browser (particularly Chrome) will recall it to make life “simpler” for you. Handy? Yes. Infuriating? Absolutely when incorrect or outdated suggestions won’t disappear
2. Google Contacts and Recent Interactions
Google Meet allows integration with Google Contacts and with past meetings to recommend individuals you recently communicated with. It attempts to be smart sometimes but sometimes just makes errors instead.
3. Google Account Activity
Your Google Account saves interactions within apps (GmailCalendarMeet and so on). So if you ever emailed one person once your Google Meet suggestion list might show their name permanently. Not great!
